TORONTO—Three recreational facilities in Etobicoke, Ont. including the Norseman Community Pool, the Sir Adam Beck Rink and the Rosedale Ice Rink in Toronto will be upgraded and rehabilitated thanks to joint funding from the federal and provincial governments.

Upgrades to the Norseman Community Pool involve replacing the roof, mechanical and electrical updates to the HVAC system and accessibility improvements to the pool’s change rooms.

The Sir Adam Beck and Rosedale artificial ice rinks improvements include the replacement of refrigeration plants, upgrades to mechanical rooms, construction of new concrete pads, accessibility improvements and the installation of dasher boards.

The Government of Canada is investing over $3.6 million in the projects through the Community, Culture and Recreation Infrastructure Stream of the Investing in Canada plan; the Government of Ontario is investing more than $3 million; and the City of Toronto is providing over $2.4 million.
