The Toronto Argonauts are pulling out all the stops to help secure housing for their players and staff for the 2021 CFL season.

John Murphy, the team’s vice-president of player personnel, posted a public inquiry on Saturday to the 1.16 million followers on Toronto’s Facebook page.

Toronto, Ontario if you know of available housing starting in August, please hit me up as we will have 50-60 players and staff from the Toronto Argonauts Football Club in need of housing in and around BMO Field, so downtown, Liberty Village, Mississauga or the like… be grateful for help and assistance as our players and coaches transition to our city and community.

A commenter questioned why the Argos haven’t already made arrangements for housing considering the season starts in just three weeks.

“Every city in the CFL is having same issue,” replied Murphy. “Not many spots want to do less than 6 months and most are even turning down 1 year leases.”

As on Sunday afternoon, the post had 24 likes and three shares.

Toronto opens the 2021 CFL season with a visit to the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday, August 7. The team will travel to Winnipeg the following week before hosting the Blue Bombers for their home opener at BMO Field on Saturday, August 21.
